SHORTLISTED FOR AN AWARD

We were so proud that our project was shortlisted for an award from the charity Remember WW1- we were shortlisted to one of 20, with just 5 finalists in our Arts and Creativity category from a field of 160 applications.

We throughly enjoyed the Awards Ceremony hearing about an amazing array of inspirational projects and meeting a wonderful group of dynamic people all sharing our passion for remembering those who gave their lives in WW1.

We have been working hard since then, completing the round of projects in individual schools. Now, in mid-January, we only have 2 more schools to work in before we take all the work created to Guildhall Art Gallery for curation.

It will take six weeks to curate nearly 100 items of artwork in a variety of media against a backdrop of a trench and a ruined town square. Jane Churchill's strengths lie in her ability to create magical imaginary worlds for her artwork. The gallery will be set up for an atmospheric immersive journey through World War 1 revealing enduring stories from 1914 - 1918.
